The work of Sofia Rocchetti explores what we are but do not wish to show: aggression and its multiple forms and colours. Her paintings make geometry, volume and three-dimensionality into elements of a surreal and intimate anthropomorphism. A profound, atavistic and endemic reality, first deconstructed and then recomposed from those signs that find their greatest expression in pure pigment and the light that naturally transpires from the paper support.
The Cubi series by Sofia Rocchetti can be considered as fragments of works that are individually significant and self-sufficient. This particular interpretation of the work, which always tends towards three-dimensionality and movement, allows customisable and diversified juxtapositions and compositions to be made, leaving an ample margin of interpretation to the individual and their personal aesthetic taste.
Sofia Rocchetti began her colour experimentation in 1998, with the Cubi series, imbuing it with a strongly allusive and symbolic element. Her use of the sign, both a gesture and a stitch at the same time, emerges with greater force due to the small dimensions of the work.

Technique: contemporary pictorial work, created with the pure pigment technique on paper.
The corners are particularly fragile. Therefore, avoid damaging them because it is not possible to restore them.
We recommend placing the work away from direct sunlight.
Cleaning: to remove any dust that may accumulate on the surface of the work, simply use a soft brush. Never use sponges, rags or other implements as they may be abrasive. Never use damp cloths.
