This decorative amphora-style vase seems to have been transported to the shoreline of the Mediterranean coast directly from Ancient Greece. The geometric decoration appears to capture the motion of seaweed; the light points attached to the body and neck of the vase by the high temperature casting amplify the almost vitreous transparency sought by Nicoletta Staibano in all her work. In harmony with both classic and contemporary decorative styles, its ample curves will catch the eye in whatever room it is placed.Any relief effects, irregularities, slight cracks in the enamelled surface, bubbles or small craters are part of the artist’s stylistic experimentation, therefore their presence on the work is testimony to its uniqueness.
