The ample silhouette of this Mediterranean shrubland-coloured decorative vase comes straight from Ancient Greece. Nicoletta Staibano was inspired by an ancient ceramic form designed to contain oils and scented essences. Confirming the artist’s style, the thick casting of dark blue, green and clear Murano glass softens the geometry of the ornament, creating that transparent effect so unusual in ceramics. Its size and shape allow this vase to become the centrepiece on a natural wood table, or on any surface towards which you want to draw attention. Finally, the changing, opalescent effect of the colours in contact with natural light is extraordinary.Any relief effects, irregularities, slight cracks in the enamelled surface, bubbles or small craters are part of the artist’s stylistic experimentation, therefore their presence on the work is testimony to its uniqueness.
